Our Mission
Anchored in our school values of GR3IT – Graciousness, Respect, Responsibility,
Resilience, Integrity, and Teamwork – our LLP aims to cultivate in students
a strong character and a mindset of excellence and continual growth through
an inclusive and engaging sports culture.
Why “subject” matters
The programme aims to provide all students, regardless of background or
starting point, with opportunities to experience a wide range of sports
in a fun and engaging environment, while developing sportsmanship and nurturing
the potential of students with interest and aptitude to achieve their personal
best. It leverages sports as a platform to cultivate leadership competencies,
put values into action, and encourage students to contribute meaningfully
to the community. In addition, the programme seeks to enhance students’
cultural and global awareness through sports education, appreciation, and
experiential learning.

Active YN Recess Play
Provides a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils regardless of
their strengths and starting points to try out and participate in the different
types of games and modified games. This is in line with the nationwide
initiative to promote healthy lifestyle amongst Singaporeans. Research
studies have shown that getting children to be more active has benefits,
as obesity rates among schoolchildren have risen in recent years, from
10 per cent in 2000 to 12 per cent in 2014. Special games and/or
mass exercises are organised to encourage pupils of all levels to take
part. Sports equipment are available for loan during recess to encourage
self-directed and ‘unstructured’ play.
